As part of its inclusive approach confirmed by the Strategic Plan 2022-2028, ICOM commits to support the equal participation of Board members of National and International Committee as well as Regional Alliances, especially those with fewer resources, in the ICOM 2024 Annual Meetings. The Annual Meetings will be held on 11-12 June 2024 in Marseille, France, in a hybrid format.
Through the Strategic Allocation Review Committee (SAREC), ICOM will offer two types of grants to support in-person attendance:
- a broader grant covering both the airfare to Marseille (or the train ticket if travelling by train) and the accommodation costs during the meeting days, or
- a complementary grant to partially cover the cost of in-person attendance. Through this grant, the applicant may ask for either airfare (or train ticket if travelling by train), or accommodation during the meeting days according to what best suits his/her needs.
Insurance coverage, visa costs, local transportation, meals and other expenses related to the members’ participation will not be covered by these grants, in any circumstances.
